Since 1982, Michael Fleming has been helping both plaintiff and defense attorneys with
litigation involving roller skating accidents and injuries. The accidents have occurred in outdoor
areas, indoor areas and inside roller skating rinks. He has worked coast to coast across the
United States

     Michael is a former manager, owner, and operator of roller rinks in California and Nevada for
over 42 years with his brother and partner, David. Michael is knowledgeable in all aspects of
roller skating and roller skating rink operation. He has been retained in close to 100 roller
skating cases, most of which went to litigation. Of those cases that went to trial where Michael
was called to testify, he was on the prevailing side.

     In addition, Michael is a nationally known roller skating instructor/coach. He is a former United
States Champion and Gold Medalist in artistic skating , similar to ice skating. His expertise in the
sport has made numerous National Champions under his coaching. CBS Sports hired him as
their on-camera analyst for their roller skating telecasts of the United States National and
World Championships. Even Hollywood has used his talent in helping teach celebrities such as
Olivia Newton-John, Henry Winkler and Barbara Streisand for their movie and television rolls.
He also was the roller skating safety advisor to production companies of television commercials
and shows where roller skating was done. He even assisted the Special Olympics and co-
authored the Special Olympics Guide to Roller Skating.

     His decades in roller skating gave him expertise in roller skates, both quad (4 wheel) and In-line
skates. How roller skates work, how they are constructed, and how they can fail, can be critical
to a case. At the same time, sometimes falls are not caused by the roller skates, but by the
skater themselves. Again, Michael has the knowledge and experience to get to the truth.

     In 2021, Michael and his brother sold their businesses and retired. However, Michael
continues his expert witness work. He believes that his knowledge and abilities can help bring
justice to those who deserve it.
